This listing is for two old metal tins. The larger one is Lipton Tea box with a well-fitting separate lid (no hinges). The bottom is marked Lipton Tea Planter Ceylon. It measures approximately 4 1/8 x 3 1/8” sq. The second tin is from Bellwood smoking mixture (tobacco). This tin is highly embellished and its lid is hinged. It measures 1 ¼ x 4 ½ x 3 ¼”. Both tins have a lot of vintage charm. I would date the tea container to the 1930s, the tobacco tin could be even older. I sense an Art Nouveau influences in the embossed designs of this piece.
Small : 4" by 3,1/4"
Big : 4,5" by 4,3/8"
Both pieces are in good condition structurally. Their lids fit perfectly and there are no dents or other issues that would affect the use of these pieces. Cosmetically there is plenty of tarnishing. Though, I would not consider this a flaw but rather an added dose of vintage charm.
